I took photos of the Mace family a few months back now but what a lovely day we had. The shoot was held at Alfrick nature reserve which has a lovely trail to follow around the reserve, children love it! Beth also brought along her best friend Sophie the dog, they made a great team during the photoshoot striking poses together :)
I recently had the pleasure of meeting up with John & Hannah for their engagement shoot. They were a bit stuck for ideas so I suggested a country style shoot in the sleepy village of Colwall. I know Colwall quite well because I use to work there for a while and love cycling along the quiet back lanes so had some good ideas of where exactly I wanted the shoot to take place.
They also both told me an interesting story of how they first met. They were both young and met in the medical room at high school, I don't know what their symptoms were. Hannah told me that John was chatting & comforting her while they briefly met which Hannah thought was really sweet of him. Then John told me that he had looked after her because he thought Hannah would look "fit" when she's older :-D .They then met again later in life where Hannah spotted John and asked if he remembered her from high school. Quite a nice story to tell :)
John and Hannah were a great fun on the shoot and I can't wait to shoot their wedding in December.
Perfect British weather & a beautiful location are the perfect combo for a pre-wedding engagement shoot. Heres one I shot a few days ago of Emma & Tom at Croome Court. They are both due to marry in May at Birtsmortan Court, hope we have the same weather as we did for this shoot :)
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting the Gardiner family for a lifestyle shoot at Alfrick nature reserve. The weather was on our side for the shoot and the boys had a really good time exploring the reserve. I always feel that its best to be outdoors for photos with children rather than in a studio, your 100% much more likely to capture the natural smiles that way :)

I have uploaded a few photos from the shoot below :)
This was my last wedding to shoot of the year & what a great one it was to say goodbye to 2014 with.
Woodside hotel is in a small town called kenilworth around six miles from Coventry. When I arrived it was a beautiful frosty day with lovely clear blue skies, perfect for my camera :)
Maggie & David are a really nice couple and I hope them both the best for the future.
I have posted a few of my favourites of the day below. Please enjoy :)
Another lifestyle style shoot in the Autumn leaves. The Millward family originally travelled from Droitwich for a shoot at the Malvern Rose Banks, although due to unexpected bad weather we had to push it back a week. On a positive note we got a few nice photos at Malvern rose banks and lots more at our second location at Vines park Droitwich.
I haven't posted since September and thought it was about time I shared this Cosmopolitan shot with you.
In case you don't know what a Cosmopolitan is, its a very popular Cocktail widely believed to be created in the 1970s. A good cosmopolitan will usually contain Vodka, Triple sec (Cointreau), cranberry juice & freshly squeezed lime juice.
For the shot itself I set my camera up on a tripod with a 105mm 2.8 Macro Lens and took a few snaps. The first shots were for the background I wanted it dark with the christmas lights in the background not to bright. Once I had the background how I wanted it, I set up my SB700 flash, budget £5 umbrella and £10 light stand facing 45* over the cocktail. I used wireless triggers to trigger the flash and played with the flashes power output for a while until the Cocktail was nicely lit up. I then shifted my lens into manual focus and made sure the Lime twist in the cocktail glass was in perfect focus.
Picture was taken at the Colwall Park Hotel which I think was used online to promote their cocktail night. I have also added a picture of what the setup looked like. As you can see space was limited and the shot barley missed the beer pumps on either side. Hope you like.

Thought it was about time I wrote a new post for my blog and wanted to share with you some photos from a small wedding I shot last month. The Wedding ceremony was held at Malvern registry office where Mr & Mrs Munday then proceeded to Malvern winter gardens where we took a few photos. This was probably the smallest wedding I have ever shot as only 10 people attended including the bride and groom. There was a great atmosphere and Mr & Mrs Munday were great throughout the day and I would never have hesitation shooting another small wedding.
I have put some pictures from the day below. Please feel free to comment/critique the photos. Please also if possible support my Facebook page by hitting the LIKE button :)
